Friends for Youth (collectively, “Friends for Youth“, “us“, “we“, “our“) places a high priority on protecting your privacy. This policy explains what types of information are collected by our website, friendsforyouth.org (Site), and how this information is used. Information Collection And Use:  We collect and use information about you to communicate with you about our programs and events and to customize our communications in those areas. Your information may also be used to improve your website experience, enroll mentors, enable you to make donations to FFY,  or to cooperate with government officials or parties in litigation under process of law, or as otherwise required by law. Online donors knowingly provide us with personal information, including name, email, phone and mailing address. This information will never be used or shared without permission except to acknowledge a donation. If an individual voluntarily signs up to participate in our program or receive our communications and provides us with Personal Information (such as name and email address), we only use this information for specific, limited purposes. You may always “opt out” at any time if you do not wish to receive our messages.

Anyone who shares Personal Information through our Site has the right to:

  • Know whether or not their data is being processed

  • Know where their data is being processed

Data & Cookies: Like many organizations, we use cookies and log files on our website to improve the website experience of our visitors and to better understand how our site is used. For example, cookies and log files may tell us whether you have visited our site before or whether you are a new visitor.   

Security: The security of your Personal Information is important to us. Donor information is maintained in a password protected, secured database. Only authorized personnel have access to this information and only for appropriate business purposes. This information is shared with board members and authorized staff, only on a confidential and need-to-know basis. We track donations using Classy, where credit card information undergoes a tokenization process performed by their third party service provider and is not stored by Classy directly. The information is only used to perform the transaction and any recurring or guaranteed minimum transactions to which you have agreed.

Children’s Privacy: Friends for Youth does not intend to collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, We take steps to remove that information from Our servers.
